Scene Spree: A Weekly Recap of the Twin Cities Social Circuit 1/6-1/8 By Kate Iverson

this is Kate wrote about the show :
We started the night out at Tarnish & Gold Gallery for the Teenage Elixir show, which featured a smattering of young, boundary-pushing artists that I always try to keep an eye on. Put on by Bloodtime collaborators Jesse Draxler and Justin James Sehorn, the exhibit featured work by Garrett Perry, Chris Park, Nick Howard, Joshua Norton, James Penfield, and Mark Vomit as well as Sehorn and Draxler themselves. I was quite taken by Garrett Perry’s signature works, which involved slick, pigment-rich daubs of paint that looked so juicy that I had to stop myself from pawing the canvases (something I have to stop myself from doing quite frequently at galleries). I was also quite enamored with the latest creations of Nick Howard, whose large-scale ink drawings are both simplistic and meticulously detailed. Two more artists to add onto my art-buying bucket list.
