Dash Snow

To be honest i didnt hear about Dash Snow until i read on a blog that he died yesterday. Needless to say it kind of adds to the stereotype that an artist generates most of their fame after death, but fuck that stereotype, it aint the 1800's anymore so fuck it.

Regardless Dash Snow made some good work and im mad that it took his death for me to discover his work. It's obvious in his work that his lifestyle was one that most people will never experience, much less ever see. His Polaroids are rough, dirty and explicit but also confident in their beauty. They show that life is hard, real hard, but their can be beauty in the world no matter how hard it gets.
