Life is funny some times

So i received a phone call this morning from my grandma saying my dad, who i dont talk to all that often, was in the hospital and was going to have to have his leg amputated below the knee due to complications with an infection and diabetes.

I havent talked to my dad in almost a year, due to his health and other reasons. But when i was young we were very close. He was pretty awesome when he was healthy.

He was a highschool athlete super-star, and extremely active until he got sick.

When i was young i would hear endless storys about his accolades while admiring his trophies. Needless to say i am sure this is a tough time for him.

I dont really know how or what to think about this, except that for the first time in a long time i actually want to see and talk to him, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise.

Life is funny at times and i don't, in any small way, think that this is a funny situation. but i do enjoy odd coincidences. Yimmys Yayo has been bringing joy into my life ever since i discovered it but today more then ever it brought me a smile.

This photo is simply amazing. sometimes no matter how tough life is and how bad things can be, when things should suck and bring you sadness, sometimes all you can do is smile.
